On this photo I am skydiving right above Mount Alfred. Looks rather small from 10000 feet, doesn't it? This is what DOC (Department of Conservation) writes about it: "Track up this mountain is steep, rough and muddy, with unbridged stream and river crossings. Good fitness, high level backcountry skills and experience, navigation and survival skills are required." After walking up and down Mount Alfred we sign under every word of this description!
